Overview

Chitwan Jungle Safari is an amazing experience that takes you on a wildlife adventure in the lush tropical jungles of Chitwan, Nepal. Chitwan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the best places in the world to observe rare and endangered species of wildlife.

The jungle safari usually starts early in the morning and lasts for several hours. You can choose to explore the jungle on foot, on a jeep, or on the back of an elephant. Each mode of transportation offers a unique experience and allows you to get up close and personal with the flora and fauna of Chitwan.

As you venture deeper into the jungle, you will be greeted by a diverse range of wildlife, including Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, leopards, sloth bears, deer, wild boars, and various species of birds. The jungle is also home to several species of reptiles, such as crocodiles, snakes, and turtles.

Apart from wildlife, the Chitwan jungle is also home to several ethnic communities such as the Tharu people, who have a unique culture and way of life. Trip Itinerary

  • Depart from Kaldhara at 7:00 a.m. for Sauraha via tourist bus.
  • Upon arrival, the hotel staff will greet you and provide transfer to your hotel.
  • Enjoy welcome drinks upon arrival, relax, and check-in for lunch.
  • Attend a program briefing and meet your jungle guide who will provide you with essential information about the jungle safari.
  • Visit Tharu village for sightseeing and immerse yourself in the unique culture and way of life of the Tharu people. You can also enjoy the picturesque river-side sunset.
  • End the day with a delightful Tharu Cultural Dance performance and dinner, where you can enjoy traditional music, dance, and cuisine.

  • Wake up early to the sounds of nature, enjoy breakfast, and get ready for the day's adventure.
  • Start the day with a peaceful canoe ride on the Rapti River, followed by a nature walk in the jungle with your guide.
  • Visit the elephant breeding center and learn about the conservation efforts being made to protect the endangered species of elephants.
  • Watch the majestic elephants bathe and play in the river.
  • Return to the resort for a delicious lunch.
  • In the afternoon, embark on an exciting elephant-back jungle safari, where you can get up close and personal with the wildlife and experience the thrill of exploring the jungle on the back of an elephant.
  • Relax in the evening and enjoy dinner at the resort. You can also gather around the campfire and share stories with your fellow travelers.
